Following last year’s successful run, the 80’s New Wave tour TOTALLY TUBULAR FESTIVAL announces its return this summer and features artists that exploded in the pop culture zeitgeist in the 1980’s thanks mainly to the high rotation of their music videos on MTV. These artists have enjoyed a steady rise in popularity in recent years, with their music having a lasting impact. Tour creator and JPA agency founder Jon Pleeter calls the TOTALLY TUBULAR FESTIVAL “the best ‘80s party on the planet.

Another Planet Entertainment is excited to announce that Turnpike Troubadours – “the Tahlequah, Oklahoma kings of Red Dirt music” – and Noeline Hofmann – “the ‘wild-rose’ country music” artist from the Badlands of Southern Alberta, Canada – have been added to the lineup for the next installment of the Golden Gate Park Concerts series. The emerging electro-funk quartet Dizgo packed Dharma Bums in New Hope, PA, on Friday, January 24, 2025, and truly rocked out. The rustic venue—tucked in the attic of a local restaurant—had very little data service but provided a great platform for this Bloomington, IN-based band to bring the heat, and bring the heat they did. Their two-hour set included a pair of debuts, as well as several familiar covers. Kevin Rovner Band provided support.

The music community gathered yesterday afternoon at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s Ford Theater for a Celebration of Life for one of their own, Will Jennings, who passed away on September 6, 2024 in his home in Tyler, TX at the age of 80.  

Jennings was one of the most revered songwriters of his generation, penning an extraordinary number of timelessly beloved songs for an eclectic range of musical icons like Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Whitney Houston, Roy Orbison, B.B. King, Celine Dion and Tim McGraw to name a few.
