As the temperature drops, the wind picks up, and the setting sun over Lake Michigan paints the sky with vivid streaks of orange and pink, fall begins to settle in. I find myself lining up outside The Livery in Benton Harbor, a place steeped in history. Once a city livery where horses and wagons were kept, it has now transformed into a beloved brewery known for excellent food and, perhaps most notably, its great live entertainment.

With five sets and two encores over the course of two nights, Umphrey’s McGee concluded 2022 and kicked off the new year in Atlanta at the Coca-Cola Roxy.

Night one on Dec. 30 featured two sets and an encore totaling 15 songs.

Ravensdale Farm keeps delivering the vibes with each show. Yesterday this magnificent piece of land just west of Fort Collins, Colorado hosted Jennifer Hartswick and Brendan Bayliss. Both of these very talented musicians have rich and diverse backgrounds. They are well established in the music industry and have resumes that span many genres of music both onstage and in the recording studio.

Toronto based live electronica band The New Deal are releasing “Isolation Suite” on June 26th, an EP of new music that was written, recorded and mixed in isolation during Covid-19 quarantine.

As I was walking on the hill in Boulder to get some Chinese food and a beer before the show, I passed by a very animated and excited Jeff Austin (mandolin player from Yonder Mountain String Band) talking to a friend.
