Cris Jacobs

If you’ve heard of the jam band The Bridge featured on The Wire, you may already know Cris Jacobs. His latest album, One of These Days, was released on April 26, 2024. Following the release, Jacobs embarked on a tour with Tommy Emmanuel but had to cancel some shows due to a family bereavement. He performed at the Grand Ole Opry alongside Lindsay Lou and continued playing major festivals such as High Sierra, Telluride, and 4848. The passing of Phil Lesh, whom he and his father admired, deeply affected him.

There are few music festivals with the legacy of the High Sierra Music Festival (HSMF). After more than thirty years, HSMF has truly become far more than the sum of its parts. Sure, there's a ton of world-class music on several stages, parades, activities for kids, crafts and vendors, killer food, and all that. And of course, there's the camping scene, a hippie town that springs up almost overnight on the Plumas County Fairgrounds for the four-day festival around the Fourth of July each year.

The much-anticipated Lewes Concert Series is set to make its grand return starting Wednesday, June 12, promising more music and breathtaking sunsets! This 10-week concert series features a mix of nationally touring artists and some of the best tribute bands in the country. Excitement is already building for the return of fan-favorites, The Amish Outlaws.

Kicking off the series is the Rolling Stones Tribute Band – The Classic Stones, followed by a special Thursday night performance by Baltimore, Maryland native Cris Jacobs, and local sensation Sweet Leda.

Funk legend and Meters' bassist George Porter Jr. returned to the Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday, March 16, 202, along with his band Runnin' Pardners to celebrate the life of drummer Russell Batiste. He also brought many accomplished friends including drummer Adam Deitch, keyboardist John Papa Gros, and guitarist Cris Jacobs.

The fest location, adjacent to Olympic Village, which was the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics, was the first festival of the year for many, and brought a distinctive assemblage of mountaintop adventure-seekers for a sweet conglomeration of jam-happy roots and bluegrass music, pleasing craft brews, and mountain views.
