Renowned quartet Gov’t Mule – led by GRAMMY® Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, guitar legend, and producer Warren Haynes – has officially revealed the details for their upcoming New Orleans tour date on Friday, April 29th during the first weekend of Jazz Fest. The special Fest After Dark show, taking place at Mardi Gras World, will feature a big night of music as the band will be joined by special guests Samantha Fish and Robert Randolph Band, each performing full openings sets.

Commencing April 6th in Syracuse, the month-long outing includes their rescheduled New Year’s shows in Philadelphia and New York City, the latter of which are now set for April 8th and 9th still at The Beacon Theatre, the band’s unofficial home-court venue.

Single Day Tickets and the festival's final daily lineup are now available. The String Cheese Incident (2 sets) and Snoop Dogg on Friday night, Trey Anastasio Band (2 sets) and Umphrey's McGee (2 sets) on Saturday with Oysterhead and Joe Russo's Almost Dead (2 sets) closing out the festival on Sunday night.

Renowned quartet Gov’t Mule, who will release their first-ever blues album, Heavy Load Blues, on November 12th, has announced the return of their annual New Year’s run of shows.

Renowned quartet Gov’t Mule – led by GRAMMY® Award-winning vocalist, songwriter, guitar legend, and producer Warren Haynes – has released their new take on the Junior Wells standard “Snatch It Back and Hold It.” On the groovy arrangement, the band covered the classic track while sandwiching a spontaneous original jam called “Hold It Back” in the middle of the soulful, stirring interpretation.

In 1971, Bobby Rush released “Chicken Heads” on Galaxy Records (later sold to Fantasy Records and Concord Music) and in the subsequent months it inched up the Billboard R&B chart, marking his first career hit. The B-side was a track called “Mary Jane.”

Gov’t Mule’s 2019 live concert film Bring On The Music — Live at the Capitol Theatre is streaming now for the first time on The Coda Collection. Directed by music photographer Danny Clinch, the live concert film was shot at back-to-back shows in Port Chester, N.Y. in April 2018 in which the band delivered career-spanning sets.
