Sound Tribe Sector Nine

Indianapolis, Indiana is one of the up and coming centers for the Jam band scene in the Midwest. More and more musicians are beginning to recognize that there is a great fan base here in the Midwest and specifically in Indianapolis. We were honored on Thursday, October, 9th to host STS9 at the Old National Center for the start of their massive Fall tour with new bassist Alana Rocklin.

Acclaimed instrumental electronic rock band STS9--hailed as “one of the country’s most intriguing, innovative outfits around”--is pumped up and ready to hit the ground running this fall on their “Autumn Tour 2014.” This will mark the band’s first official headlining run in over a year

After a long wait amidst the cancelled shows last summer and the departure of original bass player David “Murph” Murphy, STS9 came back to Red Rocks Amphitheater with retribution. For our patience and gratitude throughout the year, the band rewarded us with 7 hours, and 58 tracks of the most diverse music a fan could ask for. STS9 played 3 sets each night with a short set from the Lazy Americanz (presented by The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League) as they performed their legendary “in the round” set.

It's the end of summer. Labor Day weekend – arguably one of the best times of the year to be a Chicago resident. The de facto end to summer is a time that Chicagoans tend to embrace, as a sort of reminder that we do have a bit of time before the tundra-like conditions of winder arrive mere months (or, gulp, weeks) from now. It makes perfect sense, then, to use this time to hold an eclectic music festival that hosts bands and artists ranging from funk to EDM and from rock to hip-hop.

Amidst a deep, emerald forest on the coast of Michigan's lower peninsula lies an extraordinary musical sanctuary; a ranch turned psychedelic playground which plays host to one of the world’s most premier music festivals, a place where thousands of fans from across the country come to experience the one-of-a-kind atmosphere that can only be captured in the deep woods of Rothbury.

Step inside the mysterious realm of Rothbury and you will find yourself inside a music festival unlike any other in existence.

Cloud 9 Adventures has announced the details of the legendary Dominican Holidaze fan experience.

After hearing about how much fun J2G’s previous super jam shows (The Dance Party Time Machine) turned out without being there, I was not going to miss this one. Even with Zappa Plays Zappa playing across town, I chose to take my ladies to sushi and then to the Love Shack.

From the people who brought you The Dance Party Time Machine comes The Love Shack. Join us at Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom on Friday Feb. 14th for a Valentine's Day dance party featuring over 40 of the finest musicians Colorado has to offer. With David Murphy, members of The Motet, The Disco Biscuits, Euforquestra, YAMN, Rose Hill Drive, Fox Street Allstars, Kinetix, The Congress, Octopus Nebula, Tiger Party, Ableminds, Jonah Wisneski, Filthy Children, I am SuCH, Analog Son, Rally Round The Family, and more.

In life, the only constant is change. We try to embrace this in our music and in our lives and it’s in this spirit that we announce STS9 and bassist David Murphy are parting ways. We are postponing our upcoming winter tour dates through February. We'll miss David and wish him the best on his journey ahead. To our fans, we can’t thank you enough for your understanding and continuous support.
