Laid Back Festival will return in 2020 with two incredible all-star events celebrating the vast range of American music and food. Presented in partnership by Gregg Allman’s longtime manager Michael Lehman and Live Nation, the single-day festivals will take place Saturday, August 8 at Wantagh, NY’s Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater and Sunday, August 9 at Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center. Live Nation presales begin Thursday, February 20 at 10 am ET; all remaining tickets go on sale Friday, February 21 at 10 am ET.

Taj Mahal and his quartet played the Parker Playhouse in Ft Lauderdale, FL, on January 27th, 2020. The 78-year old three-time Grammy winner treated the audience to an evening of African, Caribbean, Hawaiian, and blues music that was upbeat, infectious and captivating. Mahal is a musicologist who celebrates and honors African music as being the cornerstone of all modern music.

Take a 15-time IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Dobro Player of the Year and a Tennessee-born guitar prodigy who made his Grand Ole Opry debut at the age of 11, and you have Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley, a powerhouse acoustic duo that has electrified the acoustic music scene.

Fat Possum Records releases two newly-recorded Mose Allison tracks from IF YOU’RE GOING TO  THE CITY:  A Tribute To Mose Allison, out November 29. Grammy-Award winner and blues mainstay Taj Mahal has recorded "Your Mind is on Vacation," while mulitplatinum singer/songwriter Jackson Browne puts his spin on "If You Live."

Last weekend, on the mystical Garden Island of Kaua’i, something very special happened: the community was brought together through the power of Folk Music.

The 29th Annual Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music & Dance will take place Thursday, July 18th - Sunday, July 21st at the Trumansburg Fairgrounds in Trumansburg, NY. Featuring over 75 carefully curated bands on 4 Stages over the course of 4 Days - our festival is designed to dazzle you with diversity rather than wow you with big names. Sure, we have our fair share of “headlining” acts, but it’s the bands you have never heard that may impress you the most.

One More Saturday Night, we of the Grateful ‘Ohana of Kaua’i, along with friends from around the world were still swimming in the bliss of NYE’s gargantuan show, and suddenly we find ourselves somewhere on a back porch in January, singing and playing our hearts out with two of my favorite musicians: the legendary Bobby Weir and the revered Taj Mahal.

The historic New Year’s Eve event on the glorious North Shore of Kauai was a dream come true for us all. After a last-minute venue change, the event of a lifetime for hundreds of grateful people was hosted at the beautiful Prince Course.

Music Maker Relief Foundation – the non-profit organization that helps traditional, southern musicians who live in poverty and has been featured on PBS News Hour, CBS News, and NPR – will release a compilation celebrating its 25th anniversary entitled ‘Blue Muse’ on February 1.

The opulent and ornate Orpheum Theater located in the original theater district of downtown Los Angeles played host to a very special concert, Thursday night April 13. The Last Waltz 40 Tour, billed as a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Last Waltz concert by The Band, was originally meant to only be a one-time tribute concert in New Orleans.
