Inspired by the sheer excitement and thrill experienced during the New Orleans Jazz Fest, the indomitable Bill Kreutzmann has announced his intentions to reconvene 'Billy & The Kids' for two special shows this summer. Kreutzmann's legendary drumming helped power the Grateful Dead for their entire thirty-year career, and his dynamic group 'Billy & The Kids' continue to spread the Dead's musical legacy with a fresh and vibrant voice.

Thursday nights are often the start of the weekend, in New Orleans some say the weekend never stops, and that proved true for the Fleur De Dead show at the Saenger Theatre on April 28th. With a setlist that complemented with the forthcoming weeks of Jazz Fest in Nola, a great mix of musicians, and fresh incoming concert-goers from all over-- Fleur De Dead delivered a jam that met audience enthusiasm with grooving frenetic joy.

It was a family affair at the Westville Music Bowl in New Haven, CT for Joe Russo's Almost Dead on May 13, 2023, as the daughters of both Joe Russo and Marco Benevento joined the band on stage during this late spring, pre-Mother's Day event.

Today, MORE! have released LIVE - 01.15.23 - Cancun, Mexico, the official audio from their debut performance at Dead & Company's Playing in the Sand. The quartet, led by Tom Hamilton, Jr. (Joe Russo's Almost Dead, Ghost Light), was formed in 2020 during the pandemic with his former Brothers Past collaborators, keyboarist/vocalist Tom McKee, guitarist/vocalist Joe D'Amico, and guitarist/vocalist Jim Hamilton, as well as Ghost Light drummer Scotty Zwang.

Ten year anniversaries are certainly something to celebrate, and that is exactly what Joe Russo's Almost Dead did this past weekend with a four night run of shows in the New York City metro region. The performances were at the Brooklyn Bowl for the first night and the Capitol Theatre for the rest.

For fans of the jam, the end of the year represents some of the best opportunities for the live music experience. Whether it be Phish, The String Cheese Incident, Widespread Panic or any host of improvisational groups with their multi-night events, ticket holders salivate at the possibilities of seeing shows night after night as well as the crown jewel of ear and eye candy that is December 31st.

Performing at their improvisational best, Ghost Light stopped at Harlow’s in Sacramento on December 14, and their exploratory, psychedelic-tinged jams anchored within an passionate alt-rock fierceness and accentuated by plenty of instrumental peaks of intensity, highlighted the stretched-out nature of the symphonic selections bestowed on the visibly appreciative audience.

After over two and a half years, the jam band super group Ghost Light finally returned to the New York City metro area last week. This absence was not by choice, as COVID-19 forced many cancellations for this band, including a 2022 winter tour that included an appearance at the iconic Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, NY. This quintet of all-star musicians took the delays in stride, and used the time to record their sophomore album, The Healing.

Montclair, NJ was the place to be last Saturday night, as Joe Russo's Almost Dead packed the historic Wellmont Theater to cap off another enjoyable three night run in this vibrant New York City suburb. The line to enter the show wrapped around the corner as dead heads of all ages eagerly awaited a mind melting performance by this talented quintet, and they were not disappointed.
