Jerry Garcia's 80th Birthday Symphonic Celebration debuts a new lineup at Red Rocks on June 29th!

Some birthdays are just too big to wait to celebrate! With the world set to celebrate Jerry's 80th in August, we’ve decided to let the good times roll a little bit early this year.

John Mayer has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 and will have to miss Dead & Company's upcoming shows in Mexico.  Stepping in for Mayer will be Tom Hamilton, who has played with Bobby, Oteil, Billy, and even Phil before. Hamilton is also one of the two guitarists in Joe's Russo's Almost Dead.  Hamilton from the Philly area will not need help with the band's repertoire and should be ready to go from the opener -- the band is also planning to add some vocal assistance by Margo Price.

Lacuna, the debut album by guitarist Tom Hamilton and pianist Holly Bowling, is released today via Royal Potato Family. The duo, who also perform together in the acclaimed rock band Ghost Light, captured the music in one stream of consciousness, completely improvised recording session at Hamilton's studio The Ballroom in Philadelphia. Exploring the outer limits of creating music in the moment through a series of ambient excursions, Hamilton and Bowling showcase their powerful musical connection.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead kicked off their three night run at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ last Thursday to a packed house on a warm fall evening. This run was rescheduled from just over a year ago as a result of the covid-19 pandemic. Despite an injury to Tom Hamilton, the band delivered their unique take on the Grateful Dead without a hitch and made many new fans in the process.

Last Monday & Tuesday, Billy Kreutzmann brought his latest incarnation of the Kids to the mainland to play a two-night blowout at the sandstone mecca Red Rocks. Originally slated as a single show, tickets sold out almost instantly and in light of this demand, the call for more was answered. The response: another sold out show.

Never miss a Sunday show. These words of wisdom are shared amongst jam band fans. Last night, the proverb lived up to its name as Joe Russo’s Almost Dead closed out a three-night run at the Westville Music Bowl in New Haven, CT on Memorial Day Weekend. There was nothing dry or warm about the conditions at this former outdoor tennis stadium, which only added fuel to the fire.

Joe Russo’s Almost Dead took the stage in New Haven, Connecticut on May 29th, 2021 for the second night of a sold out run at the brand-new Westville Music Bowl, and left fans feeling that euphoric feeling they had forgotten in the fifteen months since their last live show because of the Covid pandemic. This was all despite a furious wind, unseasonably cool temperatures and rain on Memorial Day weekend.
