Beginning August 31 The Contemporary Jewish Museum (The CJM) will present RetroBlakesberg: The Music Never Stopped, a solo exhibition that travels through some of the most explosive moments in music history through the lens of Bay Area-based photographer Jay Blakesberg.

Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros—led by Weir alongside Don Was, Jay Lane and Jeff Chimenti—featuring The Wolfpack will perform with the Stanford Symphony Orchestra at Frost Amphitheatre in Stanford, CA on October 29.

On the 48th anniversary of the Grateful Dead’s legendary visit to San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall (8/13/75), Dead Heads recently returned to see an all-star lineup of jam band stars recreate the show – and more – to benefit the Grateful Guitars Foundation. Not only were there star players, but also star instruments. It took a spreadsheet for musical director Alex Jordan (Cubensis, Midnight North) to keep things straight—check it out.

The Billy and the Kids “Dead on the Water: Pier to Pier” concert series wrapped up on Friday night with their appearance at the rooftop venue Pier 17 in New York City.  Overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge, Pier 17’s location has a rich history dating back to the Dutch West India Company in 1625, the venue and surrounding area underwent major reconstruction in the 2010s and reopened to the public in 2018.

We know what kind of album it became and now we're cracking open the Grateful Dead vaults once again to put you right smack dab in the middle of those sessions. Yep, step back in time to August 6-17, 1973 at Sausalito, CA’s Record Plant where you'll be a fly-on-the-wall for more than two hours of expertly-curated, previously-unreleased session tapes from the WAKE OF THE FLOOD sessions.

Guess the Year– the gameshow podcast that celebrates the music of the Grateful Dead and the incredible passion of their fans, the Deadheads– has released a landmark video episode featuring Grahame and Brian Lesh in advance of August 27’s Sunday Daydream Festival in Novato, CA.

The holy grail of mainstream psychedelic rock posters, an original Skeleton and Roses Grateful Dead Poster from 1966, is up for auction at Goldin, leading collectible marketplace. This rare and iconic piece has a grade of 9.8 from CGC, one of the finest conditions ever to appear at auction.
